This the dramatic moment a van carrying £6,000 worth of cocaine was swarmed by police cars.

The drug courier, Kenny Madgwick, was arrested at the scene and has now been jailed for four years.

Madgwick, 33, was pulled over by police while driving on the Norwich Southern Bypass in Norfolk on November 20 2023. Inside the van police found more than 60g of the class A drug.

Dashcam footage from one of the police vehicles involved in the stop shows three police cars boxing the van in at high speed and pulling it over.

One of the police vehicles pulls in front of the van whilst another gets alongside it, all of them travelling nearly 60 mph along a motorway road.

Madgwick is forced to slam the brakes and slow down rapidly to avoid the police car now in front of him as the third car, filming the footage on a dashcam, approaches from behind.

The police vehicles box the van in on the side of the motorway, leaving Madgwick and his cocaine with nowhere to run.

Jumping into action an officer can be seen leaping from the passenger side of one of the cars and rushing towards the van's driver's side door. Madgwick appears to think about fleeing the officers on foot as the driver's side door of the van swings open just as a second officer approaches from behind.

The policemen are quickly on top of Madgwick however, giving him nowhere to run and leaving him to explain the pile of cocaine in his possession to the two officers now standing at his door.

Madgwick exits the vehicle, giving himself up voluntarily to the officers as the video of the dramatic arrest ends.

He was charged on November 21 last year for being concerned in the supply of a controlled class A drug and possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug.

Madgwick pleaded guilty to the charge at Aylesbury Crown Court and last Friday he was jailed for four years.

Investigating officer, PC Levi Fensom, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said: 'Kenny Madgwick was caught with a street value of over £6,000 of drugs in his possession.

'This sentence sends a message to people involved in the supply of drugs that drug-dealing will not be tolerated in Aylesbury and we will be robust in our response.

'We will continue to pursue this criminal activity and look to protect vulnerable people members of the community.

'We will proactively and robustly target and prosecute offenders.

'Our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.'
