This is the moment a brave mother chased after a masked 'carjacker' after he tried to drag her out of her BMW as she was sat watching videos with her son.
Kerry Chapman was with her 12-year-old son Aston outside their home in Bromley Cross, Bolton, on Friday when a thug attempted to pull her out of her parked car.
The 39-year-old chased after the assailant, before realising he was one of four young men out in a group that night.
As she was running after them, she admitted her 'legs were literally like jelly', but wasn't thinking of herself or the car, she just wanted to get the group away from her son.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Kerry said: 'He had a full bally on. I thought it must be a friend, and he is going to say 'boo' or something. And then I realised this isn't a joke.
'He opened my car door and he tried to drag me out. He didn't say a word.

She added: 'It was horrible. Looking back at the CCTV he had something in his hand, a weapon. I can't make out what it was. I didn't even think. It all happened so quickly.'
Kerry escaped the ordeal with bruising to her arm, but now worries about the psychological impact it might have had on Aston who also chased after the group.
She said the area was 'not safe anymore' and admitted she has her own father come and see her at night now so that she can get in her house safely.
