Ex-Amish man's X-rated confession after leaving ultra-strict community to marry his wife

1 month ago 9

Two ex-Amish men have spoken candidly about becoming addicted to porn after breaking free from the ultra-strict community that was so harsh they had banned them from sex education and learning about their own reproductive organs.

In Sunday's upcoming episode of TLC's Forbidden Love, Elmer, 23, reveals that he has become obsessed with viewing X-rated content since ditching his family's extreme values and way of life.

However, Elmer's porn habits have understandably created issues within his marriage to his 32-year-old wife, Lindsey, whom he fled his Amish life to be with.

In an exclusive preview shared with DailyMail.com, he and his wife sit down with fellow ex-Amish friend Eli and his partner, Nikki, for a frank conversation about how the community's tough stance on sex has led them to a path of porn addiction.

'A lot of former Amish, including myself have struggled with pornography after leaving [the Amish community] because it can become an addiction,' Eli divulged.

His ex-Amish friend Eli reveals that he was never taught sex education and didn't know what a wet dream was

'Ever since I have married her [Nikki], the technology was the biggest stumbling block. I had a really hard time, especially from a sheltered lifestyle, because there's zero sex education.'

Elmer agreeing, said: 'Your testosterone level is up here. And, you know, you're walking around with a hard on all day and you don't know what's going on.'

Eli then revealed his own mother failed to speak openly about basic human anatomy and sex education.

He shared: 'The first time I asked my mom, I said, "Why am I waking up with a wet dream? Why is it looking like this?"

'And she's like, "You'll understand when you get a little bit older." Well, how am I supposed to figure this out on my own? Give me some answers here, but there were no answers.'

Elmer, who recently left his Amish community to marry Lindsey, said that the first thing he did after fleeing his Amish family was watch porn.

He shared: 'I got me a smartphone [and] one of the first things I did that night, I went and watched porn.

'It was almost like an endless trap. It just it just got deeper and deeper, you know?'

Elmer revealed that the first thing he did after fleeing his Amish community was buy himself a phone and watch porn

Eli said that his parents refused to educate him on his anatomy while he was going through puberty

Speaking in his confessional, Elmer added that he was completely sheltered from female anatomy growing up.

'[I had] not ever seen a naked picture of a woman or a porno magazine or nothing,' he said.

'And then fast forward to when I got my first phone, I had the porn in front of me.

'And once I started watching porn it triggered something like it's that adrenaline rush. It's that dopamine rush that that gets you every time you, you keep wanting more and more and more.

'And I think that's what the problem is.'

Elmer has found it difficult to adapt to the 'English' world after leaving the Amish behind and is struggling with the fact that he has been disowned by his family.

Elmer admitted he gets an adrenaline rush when he watches porn and wants 'more and more'

Lindsey, who is 11 years his senior, had many preconceived notions about who Elmer would be as a husband.

She thought he would be wholesome and would never have a wandering eye - but she soon starts to realize that being with someone who was raised Amish is more complicated than she predicted.

The stakes are very high with a baby on the way, but even with all the drama surrounding their relationship, their chemistry and sense of humor keep them going.

TLC reality show Forbidden Love follows four couples deeply in love who must come to terms with the one major hurdle complicating their relationships: religion.

'Hailing from different faiths, one partner from each couple is converting or has decided to relinquish their family-of-origin and culture entirely,' the official synopsis teases.

'Facing such intense traditional differences, can their relationships endure the trials of converting or will their love falter under the pressure?'
