Mason tried to make sexual advances towards his online amour, but when she rejected him he allegedly masturbated in front of her.

Mason was charged with assault, a 93-day misdemeanor, and aggravated indecent exposure, a two-year high-court misdemeanor, according to a release from the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

He was arraigned in Sterling Heights District Court and slapped with a $1,000 bond. On Thursday, he was scheduled for a probable cause conference.

When DailyMail.com contacted Dr. Mason, he said his attorney, Norbert Leonard, can speak on his behalf.

However, Leonard was not available when DailyMail.com called him for comment.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said 'Our legal system does not discriminate based on profession or social standing.

'Whether you are a doctor or any other member of the community, the law applies equally to everyone,' he added.

'We are dedicated to pursuing justice impartially, ensuring that all individuals are held accountable for their actions.'

Mason's history shows a disturbing allegations of fraud, alcohol, and sexual misconduct, ClickonDetroit reported.

Mason was practicing family medicine in his home state of Indiana in 2005 when he was first being investigated by the state's medical licensing board.

The physician admitted to drinking alcohol in-between seeing patients, and his former staff claimed he solicited them for sex while inappropriately touching them.

He also had sexual contact with a patient, state officials reported, per the news outlet.

The physician was also accused of writing prescriptions for controlled substances in exchange for cash.

His license to practice medicine in Indiana was eventually revoked with the Indiana medical licensing board calling his behavior, part, 'lewd or immoral conduct.'

In 2011, he moved to Michigan, and started working with Lake MI Mobile Doctors USA, and making mobile visits to patients.

All was grand, until he and two other doctors got caught in a sweeping $1.7 million fraud scheme during an investigation by the FBI and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services

He and two doctors were billing Medicare for home visits that were not necessary or never took place.

Mason pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy to commit health care fraud. He was sentenced in 2017 to 18 months in prison and fined $50,000 by the state medical board.
