Inside Christina Hall's THREE marriage flops in wake of shock divorce from Josh Hall: From toxic fights to 911 calls and bizarre psychedelic trips on toad venom

2 months ago 11

After nearly three years of marriage, it was revealed Tuesday that Christina Hall is divorcing her husband Joshua Hall.

Despite flaunting their love on Instagram as recently as March, the couple have reportedly been dealing with marriage 'issues' for awhile, as per PEOPLE.

This marks her third divorce in less than a decade as she was previously married to Flip Or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa and British TV personality Ant Anstead.

And now, in wake of her latest split, DailyMail.com is taking a look back at Christina's failed romances with Tarek, Ant and her soon-to-be ex-husband Josh.

California-based Christina and Tarek met back in 2005 while working as real estate agents at the insurance firm Prudential.

The co-workers kept it strictly professional until the following year when Tarek split from his then-girlfriend.

'The day Tarek and I officially started dating, which was Oct. 9, 2006, we moved in together,' Christina confessed in a 2017 interview with Good Housekeeping.

Less than three years later, the couple tied the knot on April 17, 2009 in front of friends and family on Coronado Island.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child, daughter Taylor Reese, 13, in September 2010. Their second child, son Brayden, eight, was born in August 2015.

In wake of the 2008 financial crisis, the couple made the decision to exit their roles at Prudential and began house-flipping in Southern California.

It ended up being an excellent career move for the couple, who went on to nab a TV deal for their very own show, Flip Or Flop, on the HGTV network.

The show premiered in 2013 and followed Christina and Tarek's house-flipping ventures. It was a huge success and ran for 10 seasons.

Amid the success, Tarek was diagnosed with thyroid and testicular cancer that resulted in him undergoing radioactive iodine therapy.

In May 2016, Christina and Tarek's relationship made headlines following an altercation at the couple's Yorba Linda home involving a gun.

At the time, it was reported that police had responded to a call regarding a 'possibly suicidal male with a gun.'

Law enforcement located Tarek on a trail near the couple's Orange County residence and he was escorted home.

In a TODAY interview after the incident, Tarek claimed the entire thing was 'blown out of proportion' and that he had the gun on him for protection.

'There's mountain lions, bobcats and rattlesnakes and big wildlife back there. I went out for a hike to scout some trails, it wasn't even a big deal.

'I didn't understand. It got really blown out of proportion,' he explained.

Months later, the couple separated and Tarek eventually filed for divorce in January 2017. It was finalized in 2018.

Although they managed to continue hosting Flip Or Flop until 2022, a conflict between the couple spilled out in public in July 2021, when they were observed getting into a heated argument on set.

At the time, sources told TMZ that Tarek was angered after Christina tried to tell him and some crew members on set that it was time to resume filming.

That set him off, and he allegedly shouted that he 'made' his ex-wife and called her a 'washed-up loser.'

He also brought his now-wife Heather Rae Young into the argument by insulting Christina and reportedly saying his future wife was wealthier and more attractive than her.

Sources close to Tarek later said that he was upset with Christina before the outburst after she revealed that she had smoked hallucinogenic toad venom with soon-to-be ex-husband Joshua Hall.

Soon after fight, it was announced that Flip Or Flop's 10th season would be its last.

Despite any drama between them, Christina and Tarek have managed to maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship.

It was revealed in May that Christina and Tarek will reunite next year for HGTV's The Flip Off. They will compete against one another with the help of Tarek's new wife Heather Rae Young and Christina's now-estranged husband Josh.

ANT ANSTEAD: DECEMBER 2018 TO SEPTEMBER 2020

Christina met British TV presenter Ant Anstead shortly in 2017 and they wed in December 2018. They split in 2020 - a year after welcoming son Hudson, three; seen in 2019

Christina found love against with British hunk Ant Anstead just over a year after separating from Tarek in November 2017.

It proved to be a whirlwind romance for the pair, who met through a mutual friend.

Like Christina, Ant is also a parent to two children from a previous marriage.

They made their relationship official in January 2018 and tied the knot at their Newport Beach home that December.

Christina gave birth to their only child, three-year-old son Hudson, in September 2019.

But, almost exactly a year later, fans reacted with shock when Christina announced that her and Ant were separating after less than two years of marriage.

'Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority,' the Flip Or Flop star wrote at the time.

Ant initially tried to petition for full custody of Hudson after accusing Christina of being a bad parent and creating an unsafe environment for their child.

Christina denied her ex's claims and admitted she was 'deeply saddened' by them.

But in June 2021, Ant and Christina finalized their divorce and agreed to joint legal and physical custody of Hudson.

They also 'privately settled' the property and assets accumulated during their 21-month marriage.

JOSHUA HALL: OCTOBER 2021 TO JULY 2024

Christina tied the knot with Austin-based real estate agent Joshua Hall in October 2021 and it was revealed Tuesday that they are divorcing after nearly three years of marriage

Christina's romance with Joshua Hall began in the spring of 2021 before she and Ant had finalized their divorce.

She and Josh, an Austin-based real estate agent, confirmed their relationship that July.

She gushed over their 'connection' on Instagram and admitted that, before meeting Josh, she'd smoked psychedelic toad venom that 'reset [her] brain.'

'I met Josh when I wasn't in a state of fear or fight-or-flight … I had taken time off social, hired a spiritual coach and smoked a Bufo toad,' she told her followers, adding: 'It basically reset my brain and kicked out years of anxiety in 15 mins.'

She then recalled the moment they met and how 'the synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore.

'I felt immediately crazy protective over him.'

She continued: 'We've had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I've loved every second of it.

'So called 'fame' provides so many things but it comes with a cost. They build you up then tear you down.'

Addressing her critics, Christina concluded the post with: 'So yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 -I'll do what I want.'

Josh popped the question with a custom $200,000 emerald-cut diamond engagement ring in September 2021.

They secretly wed the following month but did not confirm the marriage until April 2022.

They whisked their closest friends and family away to Maui, Hawaii in September 2022, where they tied the knot in a second ceremony.

Christina called Josh her 'dream man' in an Instagram post honoring their special day. She included a photo that showed her and Joshua embracing while kissing at the altar as the sunset over the ocean behind them.

'My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love,' she wrote.

After that, both Christina and Josh frequently used Instagram to flaunt their love and to give fans a glimpse at their relationship.

Back in March, Josh insisted to his following that he and Christina were 'still going strong.' He did so by sharing photos of them kissing and embracing through the years.

In May, it was revealed that Christina and Josh signed on to star on the 2025 HGTV renovation show The Flip Off with her ex Tarek and his new wife Heather.

Then, on Tuesday July 16, TMZ reported that both Josh and Christina had filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

They legally married in October 2021 and then held a second ceremony in September 2022

The outlet claimed that the Christina In The Country TV stars submitted their paperwork in Orange County, California on Tuesday. The ex lovebirds stated July 8 was their first day of separation.

Joshua is asking for alimony from Christina and does not want to have to give her any money, the site added.

It was also claimed that Joshua has asked the court to 'divvy up what was theirs respectively before they got married.'

Christina has since deleted all traces of hers and Josh's 2022 wedding from her Instagram.
