Jordan Love has officially been listed as inactive for the Green Bay Packers, ending hopes of a return from injury against the Tennessee Titans.

Love sprained his MCL in Brazil against the Eagles in Week 1, but was back in practice taking snaps this week and it was thought he may be fit to return for Week 3.

He has now been ruled out of the game, meaning back-up Malik Willis - who engineered a Week 2 win against the Colts - will start against his former team.

Love was questionable throughout the week and took snaps in pads on Thursday, but the decision has now been made to hold him back for another week.

The Packers face the rival Vikings in Week 4, and it is believed the team would rather have him at 100% capacity for such a big game.

Malik Willis heads back as starter to face the team who drafted him in the third round in 2022

Willis was effective in his start over the Colts last week, throwing for 122 yards and a touchdown, and rushing for a further 41 yards.

This week's game will see the 25-year-old face off against the team who drafted him in 2022.

He was selected No 86 overall and slipping down the boards, and made his debut in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.

Willis was later named starter in Week 8 but struggled in the rest of the campaign, and then started zero games in 2023, coming in just three times all year.

He was traded to the Packers for a seventh-round draft pick in August of this year, and will now get his change to impress back in Tennessee.
