Kim Kardashian's Variety 'clickbait' cover BLASTED as 'an insult to trained, hardworking actors' like Chloe Sevigny: 'Kim doesn't belong in this space!'

Variety unveiled the cover to its Actors on Actors issue featuring Ryan Murphy favorites Kim Kardashian and Chloë Sevigny on Monday, and the reaction online was absolutely blistering.

The Instagram comments were filled to the brim with people outraged over the inclusion of the 43-year-old reality star alongside established thespians like Jodie Foster, Robert Downey Jr., Naomi Watts, Quinta Brunson, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Andrew Scott.

'The fact that ya'll even used Kim K. tells us how desperate you are for clicks and how much disdain and disrespect you have for the craft,' Instagram user @actherstudios wrote.

'What an insult to the many trained, hardworking actors who DO THE REAL WORK! To say this is shameful is an understatement.'

Instagram user @eypfifa blasted: 'Kim K is not an actor! She doesn't belong in this space!'

'Seriously zero credibility with Kim K. What a joke Variety,' Instagram user @ladyberson wrote.

Instagram user @homomacabre chimed in: 'Beyond disrespectful to Chloë.'

49-year-old Sevigny - who was nominated for an Oscar for Boys Don't Cry and won a Golden Globe for HBO's Big Love - reposted the Variety cover with the short caption: 'Always nice to be included. Thank you @variety.'

Meanwhile, Kim - who portrayed Siobhan in FX's American Horror Story: Delicate - launched her career in 2007 with a 41-minute sex tape titled Kim Kardashian, Superstar which was 'leaked' seven months before her E! Network reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premiered.

Kardashian's sex tape partner Willie 'Ray J' Norwood claimed they both signed $400K contracts with Vivid Entertainment to release their ecstasy-fueled sexploits from her 22nd birthday in Cabo San Lucas in 2002 in a deal brokered by her momager Kris Jenner.

The SKIMS CEO has always maintained that a 'third party' sold her sex tape to Vivid, and she reportedly dropped her invasion of privacy lawsuit against them after allegedly receiving a '$5M settlement.'

Rather than becoming an attorney, Kim will pretend to be LA's 'most successful divorce lawyer' leading 'an all-female law firm' in a new Hulu scripted legal drama penned by Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz.

'I mean, there's even so many fun moments with like [my attorney] Laura [Wasser] and I where I'm just like, "Don't ever let me do this again!"' the thrice-divorced mother-of-four told producer Ryan Murphy in last Thursday's episode of Hulu's The Kardashians.

'Then the next [divorce], she would be like "Hi, you reminded me last time, don't ever let you do this again."'

Kim's prior acting credits include PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, PAW Patrol: The Movie, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, Drop Dead Diva, CSI: NY, Deep in the Valley, Beyond the Break, and Disaster Movie.

Kardashian also played herself in movies Ocean's Eight and Alligator Boots as well as episodes of 2 Broke Girls, American Dad!, 30 Rock, Last Man Standing, and Brothers.

The Calabasas socialite currently executive produces and stars in the 10-episode fifth season of The Kardashians, which airs Thursdays on Hulu.

On February 19, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off won reality show of the year at the People's Choice Awards after winning the best docu-reality series trophy at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
