Kamala Harris has received a boost in top forecaster Nate Silver's closely-watched polling model.

Harris now has a 43 percent chance of winning the Electoral College and the race is 'almost a toss-up,' Silver said.

It comes with less than 100 days to the election and as the world is reacting to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran.

Trump returns to Pennsylvania for first time since being shot

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Pennsylvania

Donald Trump is returning to Pennsylvania on Wednesday for the first time since he was shot at a rally in the state earlier this month.

Just 17 days after the assassination attempt, the former president is returning to the key battleground state.

The rally in Pennsylvania’s capital of Harrisburg is just the third since the shooting and since becoming the Republican presidential nominee.

The FBI and multiple congressional committees are investigating the near-death of Trump and the security failures that allowed the shooter to get just 130 yards away from the stage with an AR-style weapon.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told DailyMail.com:

President Trump loves Pennsylvania and the great people who live there and looks forward to returning!

Shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was neutralized by the Secret Service – but not before shooting Trump just centimeters from his brain, killing one rally goer and critically injuring two others.

Pennsylvania is vital to clinch in the 2024 race and is one of just a handful of states that will determine the outcome in November.

Trump nabbed a victory in the Keystone State in 2016 by just 0.7 percent. But in 2020, the state flipped blue to hand Biden a victory over the incumbent by a 1.2 percent gap.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris in a Philadelphia suburb on Monday with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Shapiro is being floated as a running mate for Harris after she became the Democrat’s de facto nominee last week.

Donald Trump says Kamala is a 'weird person'

Trump hit back at Democrat attacks on the Republican ticket being 'weird'. He told Fox News:

Just plain weird. You know who’s plain weird? She’s plain weird. She’s a weird person
Look at her past, look at what she does, and look at what she used to say about herself. And I won’t get into it, what she used to say and who she was compared to, what she said. Starting in about 2016 she became a totally different person only for political reasons.

Donald Trump calls Kamala Harris a 'weird person' and slams her over the pronouns she goes by

Former President Donald Trump reached for his trusty 'I'm rubber, you're glue' defense after repeatedly being branded weird by the Harris campaign – calling the vice president a 'weird person.'

'Listen, this whole thing is a con job. "Just plain weird." Do you know who is plain weird? She’s plain weird,' Trump told the host on her Ingraham Angle show.

'She’s a weird person. Look at her past. Look at what she does.'

Trump speech to black journalists causes outrage

Donald Trump's invitation to address an association of black journalists - along with the group's shunning of Kamala Harris - has sparked outrage, resignations, and internecine fighting among its membership.

Trump is scheduled to take part of moderated discussion with the National Association of Black Journalists on Wednesday at their annual convention in Chicago.

Meanwhile, the group declined an offer from Harris to appear for a virtual conversation. The vice president could not appear in person due to logistical reasons, including her attendance at the funeral of the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee in Texas.

Kamala's ex-boyfriend, 90, thinks Joe Biden should give the presidency to her

Brown spoke with Politico columnist Jonathan Martin, revealing his thoughts about Harris, whom he dated when he was 60 and running for mayor of San Francisco and she was a relatively unknown 29-year-old Ameda County prosecutor.

Brown joked that if Harris won the presidency, 'She’ll deport my ass,' a joke he has long made about his former girlfriend turned political protege.

He also revealed that Harris was not former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's first choice for president and that he worked to make sure his other political protege Gov. Gavin Newsom was fully behind Harris.

‘Monday night is Joe’s night,’ a source told CNN.

'Convention is our opportunity to tell our story directly to the American people, rally behind the Democratic nominees, and grow our broad and diverse coalition to defeat Donald Trump,’ convention senior communications director Matt Hill said, without confirming the report.

‘We look forward to sharing more soon about our convention in Chicago where Democrats will offer a forward-looking vision for our country that stands in stark contrast to the extremism from Donald Trump's convention that would take America backwards.’
