Simon Rex has revealed whether he's still in touch with Meghan Markle after she wrote him a thank you letter for not lying about their past.
Back in 2022, Simon, 50, revealed he was offered $70,000 from 'several' British tabloids to falsely claim that he had 'hooked up' with the Duchess of Sussex prior to her relationship with now-husband Prince Harry, 40.
'I said no to a lot of money because I didn’t feel right lying and f***ing up the royal f***ing family,' he explained at the time.
After the news came out, Meghan, 43, wrote him a thank you letter that said, 'It’s nice to know there are still good people.’
The Red Rocket star tweeted that same year that he 'framed' the note and told his followers, 'She has very nice penmanship btw (by the way).'
In a new interview with DailyMail.com on January 28, Simon gave an update on where he stands with the philanthropist while attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

When asked if he has been in touch with her since he received her note in the mail, he responded, 'No, no.'
He also clarified his past 'relationship' with her, saying, 'I never dated Meghan. It wasn't dating, no. That story was definitely elaborated.
'She wrote me a letter actually thanking me for not, you know, dealing with the tabloids and making up stories.'
The actor, who was in town promoting his new film Magic Farm, revealed he still has her letter framed and on his wall three years later.
'She wrote me a very nice letter. I have it framed on my wall,' he added.
Meghan will soon be releasing her new Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan.
The long awaited lifestyle series dropped its first trailer at the beginning of January, showing the Duchess cooking in a kitchen, picking produce from a garden and chatting with her famous pals.
It was expected to be released on January 15, but was then pushed back until March due to the devastation of the wildfires in Los Angeles.

Simon joined his co-stars Joe Apollonio, Camila del Campo, Amalia Ulman, Chloë Sevigny and Alex Wolff for the world premiere of Magic Farm at the Sundance Film Festival
Simon told DailyMail.com that he 'doesn't know about' her upcoming show, but appeared to still support her.
'Oh cool. Good for her,' he replied after learning it's specifically a cooking show.
The actor, for his part, joined his co-stars Chloë Sevigny, Alex Wolff, Joe Apollonio for the world premiere of Magic Farm, a science fiction film written and directed by Amalia Ulman.
The premiere took place on Tuesday at Park City's Library Center Theatre.
Simon stars as Dave, a film producer who is in a relationship with Chloë's character, Edna, who is the face of a media company.
Their characters along with the film crew travel to Argentina to profile a local musician, but they're faced with many challenges after learning they landed in the wrong Latin American country.
The Scary Movie star told DailyMail.com that it was 'a lot of fun' starring alongside Sevigny because 'she's one of the best actors alive.'
'You always learn when you work with other actors who are veterans like that, and it was just so much fun to play with her.

'We had very loose, a lot of improv, you know, a lot of real moments that happened.
'And it was fun just kind of playing a bickering couple with her and we just hit it off right away. You learn a lot from people like that,' he said.
Drawing from his own personal experience, Simon explained it was 'very easy to pull from' his past dating life when it came to portraying his character.
'Actually, yes, in the sense that I know what it's like to be at the end of a relationship when you're fighting a lot and you're just on each other's nerves and you're traveling together and you're just exhausted,' he explained.
'We traveled halfway around the world and we're just bickering. I've been there before so that was very easy to pull from.'
Simon Rex has dated or been romantically linked to famous stars in the past, including Paris Hilton, Nicole Marie Lenz, Jaime Pressly, Michea Crawford and Bobbie Jean Brown.
The San Francisco native and the Duchess of Sussex appeared in a 2005 episode of the sitcom Cuts, but never dated.
During a March 2020 episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast, Simon clarified, 'Well, I’ll clear it up. It wasn’t really dating her.
'We hung out one time because we did a TV show together and nothing happened.
'We never even kissed. It was just like we hung out once in a very non-dating way, but you know how word can get spun into, "We dated."
'She was just someone I met on a TV show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it, but it looked like it could be that we were dating. But nothing happened, just to be clear.'
Meghan wed Prince Harry in May 2018. They dated for over a year before announcing their engagement in November 2017.
They moved to California in June 2020, a few months after announcing they would be stepping back as working members of the royal family.
A glimpse of the Duchess' life at home will be revealed in With Love, Meghan, premiering on March 4 - although it is unclear how much footage she'll be showing of her children, Archie, five and Lilibet, three.
