With the Opening Ceremony in Paris now done and dusted, attention now turns to the athletes and their pursuit of medals - including swimming superstar Ariarne Titmus and world champion canoeist Jessica Fox.

A number of Aussies are in action on Saturday, in what is officially day one of competition.

Below are our home grown stars who will chase their sporting dreams on the ultimate stage, with all times AEST:

You can find the full Olympics viewing guide here.

Swimming, from 7pm

Emma McKeon is favoured to excel in the Women’s 100m Butterfly heats alongside Alexandria Perkins, before Ariarne Titmus adjusts her goggles ahead of the Women’s 400m Freestyle heats with Jamie Perkins.

In the Men’s 100m Breaststroke heats watch for Sam Williamson and Josh Yong, with the Men’s 400m Freestyle heats featuring Elijah Winnington and Sam Short.

Further action in the water sees the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay and Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay (Australia).

The in-form Boomers take to the court when they play Spain in Group A action.

Brian Goorjian's men won bronze in Tokyo three years ago, and after recently pushing Team USA to the limit in a practice match, will fancy their chances of another medal.
