No final for McIntosh in the shooting

Seonaid McIntosh has missed out on the 10am air rifle final after finishing 37th in qualifying this morning.

Meanwhile, we have swimming heats coming up shortly, with Duncan Scott and Matt Richards taking to the pool.

Team GB archers in action

Team GB's women currently taking on Germany in archery. It's a tough ask against the No6 seeds, and GB are behind in the early stages of that one.

We told you Steven van de Velde was in action this morning and he has been booed during his first match by the crowd in Paris.

Promising start in the women's gymnastics for Team GB

Great Britain are going well so far in the women's gymnastics qualifying.

Becky Downie has just done an excellent bars routine that should be enough to get her into the individual final.

We will keep you posted on how the team have done once they complete their four rotations.

GB name team captain for athletics

Great Britain have confirmed their captain for the athletics which gets underway later this week.

It will be 1500m world champion Josh Kerr, who will be looking to add Olympic gold to his world title.

What else is coming up today?

It's an action-packed day with Team GB's women in qualifying for the team final as well as individual finals. They are in the first sub-division and have already got their campaign underway this morning.

We will also have Matt Richards and Duncan Scott in action in the 200m freestyle heats from 10am and flag bearer Helen Glover taking part in the rowing from 11:30am.

It will then be all eye on Adam Peaty this evening when he goes for his third straight gold in the 100m breatstroke final. His race is due at 8:40pm.

Andy Murray set for doubles action later

We've got plenty of action coming up today, with Andy Murray set to take to the court in the men's doubles this afternoon.

He will play alongside Dan Evans against Japanese pair Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel. It could be his final ever match - but let's hope not!

Convicted child rapist set to compete in beach volleyball

The most controversial athlete at the Olympics will be in action this morning.

Convicted child rapist Steven van de Velde will be playing for the Netherlands in the beach volleyball when they take on Italy.

He is due on court any minute now.
