Familiar faces - an array of female football talent will be on display today
If you tuned in yesterday to the men's football, there might have been a lot of faces which you didn't recognise.
However if you are a fan of the women's game, there is no need to worry as all of the sport's greats will be featuring.
From Spain's Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati to America's Mallory Swanson as well as the greatest female footballer of all time Marta.
Here at Mail Sport we have identified the football stars gracing the pitch at this year's Olympics.
Canada vs New Zealand- Drone controversy
The women's Olympic football compeitition starts today with all 12 teams in action.
Defending Olympic champions get their title defence underway against New Zealand in the opening game of the tournament.
However the game has already been shadowed by allegations from New Zealand that the Canadian team were spying on their training sessions with the use of drones.
Crazy... It seems that the Canadians learned nothing from Leeds United and Bielsa's spy gate.
Now Canada will head into the game without three members of their coaching staff including head coach Bev Prestmann.
More football mayhem?
Yesterday's men's football action was full of mayhem, scandal and just sheer utter madness.
On paper the men's game between Argentina and Morocco didn't seem to offer a particulary exciting game of football.
But wow, were we proven wrong - with the drama beginning even before the whistle had been blown as loud boos echoed around the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium as Argentina's national anthem was played out.
It came amidst the racism storm surrounding Argentina and Chelsea midfeilder Enzo Fernandez.
It didn't end there however as Morocco took a shock two goal lead but after 15 minutes of added time Argentina looked to claw back two of their own to manage a draw.
However two hours later, their equaliser was ruled out by VAR.
Today we could be in for even more drama with Canada vs New Zealand.
