Both, Aaron Rodgers and Donald Trump Jr, were seen at the same MMA event after the NFL star appeared to have snubbed the former US President earlier in June.

The New York Jets quarterback sat next to ex-Chicago Bears tight end Marcedes Lewis and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, while Trump Jr was with his own entourage at T-Mobile Arena.

The pair, who aren't known to be friends, weren't the only high-profile names around the ring for the main fight between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka.

Recent NBA championship winning head coach Joe Mazzulla was also there along with golfer Jon Rahm and Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds.

Rodgers hit back at claims that he seemingly ignored Trump Jr's father, Donald Sr, at UFC 302 on June 1 by posting a snap of himself shaking hands with the Republican a day later.

A clip of Rodgers sitting down at the event while Trump Sr was making his way to his seat had initially gone viral on social media.

Footage shows the Super Bowl champion watching on in his chair while several UFC fans around him stoop up to honor and greet the 2024 US Presidential candidate.

Trump Sr and Rodgers' awkward run-in couldn't have come at a better time for the former league MVP, who previously claimed that he considered running as Robert F. Kennedy's vice president in the independent's bid to win the White House this fall.

Attorney and Entrepeneur Nicole Shanahan eventually got the job but Rodgers said: 'I love Bobby. We had a couple really nice conversations.

''But there were really two options. It was retire and be his VP or keep playing. And I wanted to keep playing...'

In May, Rodgers distanced himself from Democrats and US President Joe Biden by praising Russian president Vladimir Putin in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

At the start of their talk, the former Green Bay Packers signal-caller said to the former Fox News political commentator: 'You did one of the most controversial, somehow... not to me... [but it's the] most controversial interviews in the last I don't know how long, when you went to Russia and ''did'' Putin.

'How did it feel coming back? Because anybody who watched the interview was like, number one, it was f**king awesome.

'Number two, Putin came off as an interesting, thoughtful, smart individual,' he added.

Rodgers, who also criticized Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Carlson, also roasted Joe Biden's mental faculties and questioned the direction in which US politics are heading.

'You wonder if they're sort of seeing how far they can push the population until someone starts laughing, like are you joking?' Carlson joked about Democrats under the Biden administration.

'It feels like that sometimes,' Rodgers agreed. 'Like 'What if we did this? Is anybody going to give a s**t? No? Now let's try this one here... We're going put Joe Biden up.'

'Wait what? This guy who can't even walk over here? Who s***s his pants every now and then?'
