Aaron Rodgers is absent from the New York Jets mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, per head coach Robert Saleh, and is facing a fine because of it.

Rodgers is subject to fines totaling more than $100,000 for missing all three days of New York's mandatory minicamp.

The first missed practice will cost the 40-year-old Rodgers $16,953, with a second absence nearly doubling to $33,908, and a final missed day raising to a fine of $50,855.

The unexcused absence is due to a mystery 'event' he wanted to attend instead of being with the team.

Rodgers is one of two Jets to miss the mandatory minicamp, alongside new team defensive star Haason Reddick.

Rodgers has been a full participant in New York's offseason practices over the last few weeks

Rodgers marching to the beat of his own drum has been part of his courtship to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers and his entire stay with the team.

Rodgers has been involved in the team's offseason practices over the last several weeks and was at the Jets practice facility on Monday for a physical.

Yet, he could face a fine from the NFL for skipping Tuesday's mandatory workout.

He announced his intentions to leave Green Bay on 'The Pat McAfee Show' before a deal was completed.

Rodgers first season with the Jets ended after four offensive snaps after he tore his Achilles.
