Adidas have removed a social media post that mocked Kevin Durant, calling the NBA star 'dusty' and joking that the 35-year-old is about to retire.
The now-deleted comment on X, formerly known as Twitter, was replying to Durant's own post about how he wouldn't consider wearing Anthony Edwards' Adidas sneaker.
The Minnesota Timberwolves' rising star signed a deal with the German brand to release his own signature range in September.
The AE 1 collection will be available later this year and Edwards recently said he would pick Durant if he could choose one NBA to player wear his sneakers.
Edwards told Nice Kicks 'KD' when asked who he'd like to see in his shoes. 'Yeah, and he with Nike. I want to see him put on these one time in the game.'

The former Warriors and Nets player instantly dismissed it and posted on social media: 'Won't EVER see me put a big toe in them Mfers.'
But somebody at Adidas didn't take the snub well and hit back at Durant's post with a cutting reply.
It read: 'U dusty bouta retire soon anyway'.
The post was quickly taken down before the Adidas account replied again to Durant and said: 'Meant to send that from the burner account'.
Durant first signed a contract with Nike when he left college in 2007 and has worn their shoes ever since.
The two-time NBA champion became only the third player to sign a lifetime Nike deal earlier this year. Only Michael Jordan and LeBron James have similar terms.
More to follow.
