Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer says he would find playing for the current Man United team very annoying due to a habit of two of their players.

Shearer is the top scorer in Premier League history with 260 goals in the top flight during his time with the Magpies and Blackburn.

And he says United's wingers would frustrate him as a striker due to their tendency to cut inside rather than put crosses in.

When asked to name his biggest pet hate on The Rest id Football podcast, Shearer said: 'wingers cutting inside on their other foot and having a shot and not crossing it.

'That would do my nut in playing for Man Utd with those two, Antony and Garnacho, who keep doing that all the time.'

Micah Richards answered with: 'When midfielders have the chance to play forward, but play backwards just to keep their pass completion up.'

And Gary Lineker added: 'I think mine is the squealing when players get slightly touched on their ankle and they go down like they've been shot by a sniper.'

United have struggled in the final third all season and have scored the least goals of any side in the top 13.

Antony has registered just one assist all season while Garnacho has three in the league in 26 appearances.
