Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone blasted reporters for their 'stupid a** questions' after his team blew a 20-point lead to the Minnesota Timberwolves during Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals to end its quest to defend its championship.
The Nuggets led 58-38 at one point in the game but lost to the Timberwolves 98-90. The 28-point swing is an embarrassing way to be eliminated from the postseason, and Malone was visibly distraught in his post game press conference.
According to Bennett Durando, who covers the Nuggets for the Denver Post, Malone said 'the season’s over' to multiple questions about the game and was agitated with what he was being asked.
Then came Durando's question, specifically about how hard it was to absorb the loss knowing they were up by 20.
Malone looked perturbed with the question before giving a response.

'Next question man, the season's over. That's what's hard. F*** being up 20,' Malone responded.
'The season's over. You don't understand that. The season's over, it's hard. Stupid a** questions,' Malone continued.
The Nuggets lost the last two games of the series after winning three straight, overcoming losing the first two games of their series against the Timberwolves at home.
According to ESPN, the Nuggets had a 97.4% chance of winning the game with the 20-point advantage early in the third quarter.
Then came the Anthony Edwards-led massive run to end the game and the Nuggets season.
Malone just wrapped his ninth season leading Denver and is only nine regular-season wins away from becoming the franchise's winningest head coach of all-time.
