Anthony Edwards has admitted to telling the Nuggets staff and players that he'd see those 'motherf***ers' for Game 7 after inspiring the Timberwolves to a 45-point win over the the NBA champions.
Speaking to the media after putting up 27 points, four assists and four rebounds in the T-Wolves' memorable 115-70 win in Minneapolis on Thursday, 'Antman' was asked if he actually used the slur to warn his opponent that the Western Conference semi-finals series was going right to the wire.
Interrupting the reporter, the 22-year-old guard said: 'Hell yeah. They know. I was in there,' referring to the Nuggets' locker room.
'Yeah, I told them. I'll see y'all motherf***ers for Game 7.'
While everyone at the press conference burst into laughter, Edwards seemed dead serious and a man destined on a mission to lead Minnesota to its first Western Conference Finals appearance in two decades. The Kevin Garnett-led T-Wolves lost to Kobe Bryant's L.A. Lakers, 4-2, in the Western Conference Finals of the 2003-04 NBA postseason.

The decisive game for a spot in the Western Conference finals is in Denver on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, no defending NBA champion had ever lost in the playoffs by more than 36 points until Thursday night's flop by the Nuggets, who were out-rebounded 62-43.
'That to me speaks volumes about the game and our approach,' Denver coach Mike Malone said.
While Edwards led the T-Wolves in scoring, Jaden McDaniels pitched in 21 points and lockdown defense, and Mike Conley had 13 points in his return from injury. Big men Rudy Gobert, Karl-Anthony Towns and Naz Reid combined for 38 rebounds and a relentless effort to keep NBA MVP Nikola Jokic to a relatively quiet 22 points.
Jamal Murray struggled again with 10 points on 4-for-18 shooting while battling a sore elbow for the Nuggets, whose bench was outscored 36-9 - and seven of those points came in the final five minutes.
