ANZ has announced staff will no 'longer handle cash' at several of its branches in a move that has outraged customers.

Australians banking with the major bank claimed they were unable to make deposits or withdrawals of smaller cash denominations in some branches.

One customer claimed their local bank no longer accepted coins through tellers and has since placed a limit on the number of notes that can be deposited.
