Anzac Day dawn services in Australia:  Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth

Thousands of Australians will gather at Anzac Day dawn services on Thursday, April 25th, to honour and show their respect for past and present soldiers.

Here's what you need to know about the services in each major city.

WHAT TIME AND WHERE IS THE ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE IN YOUR CITY? 

Sydney

4:20am: Dawn Service, The Cenotaph, Martin Place, Sydney

9:00am: Sydney CBD March, along Elizabeth Street

12:30pm: Commemoration Service, Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park

5:00pm: Sunset Service, The Cenotaph, Martin Place

Melbourne

5:30am - 6:30am: Dawn Service, Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne

6:30am: Public laying poppies, Sanctuary of the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne

8:30am: March begins with veterans in vehicles

9am - Midday: Remainder of the march

Canberra

5:30am: Dawn Service

9:30am: RSL ACT Branch Veterans’ March

4:30pm: Last Post Ceremony

Brisbane

4:28am - 6am: ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance in Brisbane City

9:45am: ANZAC Day march, Queens Park Brisbane

Adelaide

ANZAC Day eve 6pm - 6am: Holding Ground Ceremony

6:00am: Dawn Service, SA National War Museum

9:30am: Anzac Day March will commence from the North Terrace/Gawler Place intersection

Darwin

5am: Public begin assembling at Cenotaph

5:50am: Veterans form up at ANZAC Walk at Bicentennial Park, the Esplanade and March to seating in front of Cenotaph

6:00am: Dawn Service commences at The Cenotaph, The Esplanade

9:00am: ANZAC Day parade from Esplanade, along Knuckey Street, right into Cavenagh Sreet and finish at Bennett Street/Civic Centre area.

5:30am - 7am: Dawn Service, State War Memorial, Kings Park, Perth WA

7:00am - 9am: Gunfire Breakfast, Government House Gardens, Perth

9:00am - 11am: ANZAC Day March in the City of Perth

Following day 10am - 4pm: Family and Mateship Event, Langley Park

6am: at the Hobart Cenotaph in Queens Domain. 

11am-11:45am: Main march will start on Elizabeth Street and the main service will take place at the Cenotaph in Queens Domain.
