Two people have been shot dead and 14 others injured after a mass shooting broke out at a block party in Memphis.
The Memphis Police Department responded to emergency calls made from a park on Carnes Avenue near Mound Street at 7.19pm today.
They arrived to find five victims at the scene - of which two were pronounced dead while the three others were immediately taken to hospital.
Officials said that soon after, 11 other victims arrived at the hospital in private vehicles.

Footage shows people desperately running for their lives with one person yelling 'God they are going to kill us' moments after the suspect began firing.
According to Interim Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis, about 200-300 people were attending the block party earlier today, which was taking place without a valid permit.
Videos from the party that have since emerged show a black Corvette doing donuts while a massive number of people cheer around.
Officials have yet not identified any of the victims or suspects involved in the incident.
As of now, police believe that there are two people who fired shots at the party.
