An elderly pedestrian has been killed after he was hit by a car that knocked him onto a busy road where he was struck by a second vehicle.
The 76-year-old man was first hit by a white Toyota RAV4 as the car travelled along Nairn Drive nearing the Safety Bay Rd roundabout at Baldivis, in Perth's south, about 4pm Monday.
Police said the impact caused the man to fall onto the road where he was then hit by a black Mazda CX9 station wagon which was driving in the same direction.
Both drivers are understood to have stopped after the collisions.
The man reportedly suffered 'catastrophic injuries' and was rushed to Rockingham General Hospital but died shortly after.
Major crash investigators are urging anyone with any information about the crash, or who saw the white Toyota RAV4, the black Mazda CX9 or the pedestrian in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers.
