Biden mocks 'old and out of shape' Trump for his golf tournament victories as he laughs it up with Obama, Clinton and Stephen Colbert at $25M fundraiser hammered by protesters, while the Donald grieves with slain NYPD cop's family

President Joe Biden to a swing at Donald Trump's golf game and physical fitness during remarks at a glitzy fundraiser with Stephen Colbert in New York Thursday.

Biden, 81, himself a frustrated golfer with a workout regimen, alternated between mocking his predecessor and calling him a threat to the nation during a conversation with the 'Late Show' host along with former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton

Colbert set him up with a joke about his own busy political travel even as Trump 'as far as we can tell, has just been trying to win a third championship at his own golf course.'

'My question to you sir is can voters trust a presidential candidate who has not won a single Trump International Golf Club trophy? At long last, sir, have you no chip shot?'

'I'll give you three strokes but you carry your own bag,' Biden says he told Trump in the Oval Office

'Look, I'd be happy to play,' Biden played along. 'I told him this once before when he came into the Oval before he was sworn in. I said, "I'll give you three strokes but you carry your own bag." I've only played 21 holes since I've been president.'

That last claim couldn't immediately be verified. It came after Trump received some ridicule online for claiming he won two golf trophies at his West Palm Beach club.

The quips about Trump's golf prowess and age came in a race where Biden's age has become a major issue in his reelection.

Biden took multiple digs at Trump during the event, sometimes leaving it to Obama and Clinton to talk up his own record on ethics, the economy, and job creation.

Biden, who has been focusing more on more on Trump since each man effectively secured his party's nomination and who has been struggling in the polls, also went after Trump's physical fitness.

'We're at an inflection point in history. This guy denies there is a global warming. This guy wants to get rid of not only Roe v. Wade, by the way which he brags about having not he wants to get rid of the ability of anyone anywhere in America has ever to choose — All the things he's doing are so old. A little old and out of shape, but anyway,' he quipped.

Biden also called Trump, seen here last August at his Bedminister club, out of shape. Trump recently said Biden doesn't know if he's even alive

Former U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to the media after attending the wake of slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller at the Massapequa Funeral Home on March 28, 2024 in Massapequa, New York

One demonstrator held up a sign that said 'Joe Biden Retire B***,' a message aimed at the 81-year-old commander-in-chief

The banter came in a conversation that included other jokes, like Biden saying he doesn't 'sit by the door' on Air Force One, at an event that hauled in $25 million and drew multiple interruptions by protesters.

It came on the same day Trump traveled to Long Island to pay meet with grieving family members at a wake for slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, who was killed in the line of duty. He was shot and killed in Queens during a routine traffic stop on Monday and horrific surveillance footage captured the moment.

Trump, 77, surrounded himself with law enforcement and said the nation needs to 'get stronger and tougher so this doesn't keep happening.'

At the Radio City Music Hall event, Biden also got the chance to defend his age when Colbert asked if he was 'too seasoned for the job.'

'Well I don't know about seasoned but I hope they're not too old of ideas. You know, this last guy that I ran against and am running against again this time, is his ideas are from the 18th 19th century. No, I'm serious. This is the way he talks about when he says he's gonna suspend the Constitution, all the things he said,' he said.

Clinton, 77, who was the 42nd president but is younger than the 46th, tried out a similar line.

'I'll tell you what's old. What's old is the United States of America. We are the longest lasting free democracy in the history of the world,' he said at the event.
