While there's some respect between Ja'Marr Chase and Patrick Mahomes, the rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs is just too strong for the receiver to even name the quarterback.
In the interview process for the NFL's Top 100 players for the 2024 season, Chase said he was 'not saying his name' when asked who the No. 1 player in the league was.
'He's good,' the wide receiver said. 'He's amazing. He's good. Not gonna lie.
'I'm salty, though. I'm a little salty. Two years in a row. I'm putting [Joe] Burrow first.'
The Bengals and Chiefs have played in a few heated matchups in the past few NFL seasons.

The Kansas City Chiefs QB was named the top player in the NFL ahead of the 2024 campaign
That includes multiple matchups in the AFC Championship game in recent campaigns.
In the 2021 season, the Bengals shocked Mahomes and Co. in a three point victory in Week 17 before doing the double over their rivals with an overtime win in the AFC title match.
The following season saw the Bengals win in the regular season, but Kansas City won the AFC title game rematch.
2023 saw more Chiefs dominance with a regular season victory as the Bengals failed to reach the playoffs.
All eyes in this rivalry now turn to Week 2 when the Bengals travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in another chapter of their mutual hatred.
