A woman in her 20s has died after a horror car crash with a taxi, which also left four people injured in hospital.
Horrifying pictures showed two smashed up vehicles, including a black BMW driven by the woman, with their airbags having deployed.
The fatal collision happened just before 2am on Sunday morning on Highgate Road in Sparkbrook, Birmingham.
Police officers and firefighters were on the scene until midday investigating the crash.
The site of the crash, which was just underneath a railway bridge, was closed off by a large blue screen, where a damaged black taxi could also been seen.

The taxi driver was rushed to hospital with 'potentially life-changing' injuries, West Midlands Police confirmed.
Two men and another woman in the BMW were also taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Technical support fire vehicles were also on the scene.
Specially trained investigators have contacted the woman's family, and Highgate Road remains closed while officers determine the cause of the crash.
