Former two-division boxing champion Jermall Charlo was arrested in Texas on Tuesday on several charges, including fleeing from police officers and driving intoxicated.

The 33-year-old, who held the WBC middleweight and IBF light middleweight titles, was released later on Tuesday on surety bonds totaling $9,500, according to arrest reports.

According to the report from the Pearland Police Department, Charlo faces charges of driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.15 - nearly twice the legal limit in Texas (0.08).

The records also show he is accused of 'fleeing police officer imminent danger SBI,' a high-severity offense.

Additionally, Charlo was charged for a collision that damaged a vehicle. The damage is said to be more than or equal to $200.

It is not clear whether or not the collision happened before or after he allegedly fled the officer.

Charlo, riding his red Lamborghini Urus, and another car were involved in a collision at approximately 6.41 pm, a spokesperson from the Pearland Police Department told DailyMail.com. A 2024 model of the Lamborghini SUV costs around $240,000.

Charlo fled the scene after a verbal exchange between the drivers ensued.

When authorities attempted to pull the boxer over, he reportedly ignored their sirens until cops boxed him in at a red light, approximately a mile from where the collision happened.

Officers added that they arrested Charlo on the scene, and he showed signs of intoxication upon conducting a sobriety test following the arrest.

Charlo holds a perfect 33-0 professional record with 22 wins by knockout. He last saw the squared circle in November when he fought Jose Benavidez Jr to a unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, his twin Jermell is 35-2-1 (W-L-D), with his most recent defeat coming against Canelo Alvarez in September.

Before fighting Benavidez in November, Charlo's last two fights were spaced out between June 2021 and September 2020.

During his time away from the ring, Charlo admitted that he struggled with mental health issues in an interview with the New York Post.

'Depression, self-conflation, going from hot to cold really fast is shocking to you,' he described the ordeal.

'Dealing with all kinds of cases of [being] bipolar, being by yourself, thinking that you shutting the world out is gonna help you. But you need to be able to speak to someone and help you get past whatever you’re going through.

'It just feels like everybody is against you, I don’t care if you’re in the Uber, a cab, wherever, everybody is just against you. Why I felt like this, [I don’t know].

'I couldn’t tell that some people weren’t against me, it was just that at the moment it’s the way you’re feeling and I turned my back against pretty much the world. I just had to start getting help with it and it made me a lot better.'
