New York City real estate mogul Brandon Miller died last week at the age of 43.

Miller was the principal partner at Real Estate Equity Corporation, and the husband of Candice Miller, a socialite and founder of the lifestyle blog Mama & Tata.

He was buried at the New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon over the weekend.

The father-of-two died on Wednesday, per the cemetery's records, first cited by The Real Deal.

Miller's cause of death remains unconfirmed by his family.

He had reportedly been in intensive care at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for days before his death.

Miller was also related to fashion blogger Arielle Charnas' who is Candice's cousin.

Candice started her fashion and lifestyle blog, Mama and Tata, with her sister Jenna Crespi in 2016 and has since taken over the majority of the business.

She is also the co-founder and chief marketing officer of the vintage-inspired clothing line Black Iris.

The socialite was among Ivanka Trump's social circle in Miami; the two were photographed at the beach together in 2021.

Candice is a prominent face on the Hamptons social scene, as is her cousin, controversial fashion blogger Arielle Charnas of Something Navy, who also has her own condo in the same exclusive Miami building that Ivanka was living in.

Miller's father Michael Miller founded REEC in 1978.

The company has developed more than 20 million square feet throughout the US, and is behind several high-profile projects in Manhattan.

The family has been sued several times over alleged financial misconduct, as reported by the Real Deal.

Michael Miller, who died in 2016, was sued in 2019 over claims that he told his assistant to forge his son's signature on various loans. That suit was settled.

Then in 2022, TD Bank sued Miller, his mother and his sister, accusing the trio of engaging in fraudulent transfers to keep the bank from collecting a $2.1 million judgment from his mother.

Another lawsuit, filed in May, claims Miller owed over $55,000 in docking fees to a marina in Aquebogue, New York.
