Argentina XI

And here's the Argentina line-up!

These two go a long way back

These two have met 110 times in the last 109 years, and the hosts tonight lead the head-to-head - but not by much!

The Selecao might have won 43 games against their most bitter of rivals, but the Albiceleste have 41 wins of their own, with 26 draws being played out over the years.

Tonight Lionel Messi's side could edge closer to parity against their old foes, but will they manage to get their qualifying campaign back up and running on the road?

Quite the atmosphere already

Argentina top of the group

Argentina are currently top of the group after five games, just two points clear of Uruguay after losing to their neighbours last time round, while the  Selecao are only fifth.

It's been a far from routine qualification process so far for Fernando Diniz's side, who have won just two of their games, losing twice and drawing their other match.

And they're up against it tonight with the world champions - who they haven't beaten since 2019 - in town.

Both sides lost their last game - but will one of them come out on top tonight?
