Thomas Frank's assessment of Manchester City's 0-0 draw with Arsenal aligned with most football fans as he revealed that he thought the contest was 'boring in the end'.
City and Arsenal could not be separated after 90 minutes at the Etihad on Sunday, with the game producing just three shots on target as defence reigned supreme.
The Gunners were keen to enjoy a better trip to Manchester this season, having seen their title hopes left in tatters following a 4-1 defeat last term.
Mikel Arteta's outfit were content to sit deep, stifling City's potent attackers and having just 27 per cent of possession in the process.
Brentford boss Frank, whose side had earned a much-deserved point in a 1-1 draw against Manchester United a day prior, admitted that the game was a tough watch and theorised it could have been down to the similarities in philosophy.

Manchester City were unable to find a way through Arsenal's mature and disciplined defence
'Not really,' he said when asked whether he enjoyed the clash. 'I looked forward to watching the game. Two of the three best teams in the world not only in the Premier League right now.
'So I watched it but I think they cancelled each other out. I admire both [Mikel] Arteta and Pep [Guardiola] hugely for the jobs they are doing. Same style of play, same tweaks, same strategy.
'Honestly, boring in the end. But of course, world class players, they were on it no doubt about that.'

The result saw the defending champions fall three points behind Liverpool, who surged to the top of the table after a 2-1 comeback win against Brighton earlier on Sunday.
Arsenal, meanwhile, remained a point ahead of the Cityzens but two back of Jurgen Klopp's side with nine league games left to play this season.
