A brave mother has scared off a pair of armed thugs trying to break into her home with a thunderous scream - all while holding her toddler.
The two males were seen on CCTV walking up to the home's back doorstep in Paddington, Brisbane, wearing balaclavas and wielding an axe and a crowbar about midday on Tuesday.
The mother, who wished to stay anonymous, was inside at the time with her three-year-old daughter and her grandmother.
As the duo approached, she unleashed a guttural scream: 'Get the f**k out! Get the f**k out now!'
Both men fled from the home so frantically that one slipped on the steps and can be heard saying 'what the f**k?' in response to the mother's screech.

The mother said she had never screamed like that before.
'You almost forget that you've got the toddler in your arms and you instinctively go to almost run at them,' she told 9News.
While she stopped them this time, the mother revealed it was the fourth time burglars had tried to break into her home in just the past year.
The duo had allegedly been seen on a neighbour's CCTV footage to case out the mother's home dressed as tradies and taking 'extensive' notes.
Despite the failed attempt at breaking into the home, police believe the pair went on to rob other houses in Paddington, Hamilton and Jindalee.
Police sources claim to know the group responsible, who were out on bail at the time of the incident.
'It's really scary stuff, you're at home in your own place in broad daylight and all you want to do is protect your kids,' the mother said.
'My voice is shaking right now, it's really scary stuff.'
