Tyrrell Hatton has flown out a friend to be on his bag at The Masters this week after his regular caddie suffered a freak injury.
Mick Donaghy, the larger than life character who is ordinarily at Hatton’s side, ‘fell’ after dinner on Saturday night during the LIV event in Miami.
Hatton went on to finish in a tie for fourth before explaining Donaghy’s absence from Sunday’s final round.
He said: ‘My caddie fell over last night after dinner.
'Now, his reputation is an interesting one, so I don’t know how the fall really occurred. But either way, he landed on his shoulder.’

Hatton confirmed he will have a friend by his side at The Masters after Donaghy suffered a freak shoulder injury on the weekend
While no bones are believed to have been broken, Donaghy did spend Sunday afternoon in hospital.
Hatton’s team confirmed to Mail Sport that Hugo Dobson, who previously deputised for the no-nonsense Glaswegian when he took time out with a knee injury in 2022, will make a late dash to Augusta to step in.
