Carl Froch has branded Anthony Joshua as 'embarrassing' and revealed the details of a WhatsApp spat between them in a shocking public denunciation of the boxer.

It comes after Joshua was asked to sum up one word to sum up Frock and opted for 'pr***'.

Joshua's IBF heavyweight title fight with Anthony Dubois has been confirmed to take place at Wembley on September 21 - but Froch has rubbished AJ's legacy.

Posting screenshots alleged to be from a private conversation with Joshua after the press conference for that fight, the Cobra tore into AJ on the latest episode of 'Froch on Fighting'.

'So he's called me a 'pr***' and I've gone back to him saying "who are you f****** calling a pr***'?

He also revealed some messages from what is presented as a WhatsApp spat between the two

The Cobra also shared a video in which AJ says 'get on my level' while showing off his money

'He's come back and said "I don't like you," and fair enough, you don't like me, but all I've done is been honest and given constructive criticism on what you've done since losing to Ruiz and Usyk, and where you're going now you're fighting Dubois.

'There's no need to get personal, no need to start on a man's hooter - looking pretty good by the way.

'And then you've got your £10 and £20 notes rolled out on your bed saying ["get on my level, get on my level"] levels, it's all about levels.

'Where's the humble guy gone? Where's "remain humble, stay humble" [quoting Joshua].

'He's talking about levels and says I'm not on his level. But he's talking about money. Fair play to him - he's made a fortune, he's smashed it.

'But let's talk about levels in terms of legacy and fights and career wins. A little fat kid from Mexico made him quit for f***'s sake. He spat his gumshield out and was looking around, looking for the corner, looking for the people in the crowd to help him out.

'He got punched from pillar to post. The referee is looking at him - "do you want to carry on, do you want to keep fighting?" And what's he done? He's quit on his feet.

'That is embarrassing - something the Cobra would never, ever do. And he can take that to the bank!'

AJ will fight Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley for the vacant IBF heavyweight title

Froch questioned where Joshua's humility had gone and mocked him for quitting against Andy Ruiz Jr.

In the messages that Froch revealed, he had asked: 'who the f*** are you calling a pr***?' Joshua had replied: 'Because... I think you are.' When Froch pressed him as to why, AJ hit back with 'I just do,' before the Cobra replied: 'Do something about it then b****!'

He also shared a video that Joshua had sent counting £10 and £20 notes saying 'get on my level'.

Froch certainly has an impressive legacy to stand on. He was a four-time world champion in the Super Middleweight Division and twice WBC World Champion.

Few fighters get to leave the sport on a high but he did just that after a brilliant two-fight series with George Groves, winning both to retain his belts.

In a 35-fight career, Froch won 33 contests and floored 25 of his opponents.

Joshua, a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, also has a lot going for him.

He is still rebuilding from a tricky few years. Between 2019 and 2022 he lost three of his five fights - once to Andy Ruiz Jr. and twice to Oleksandr Usyk.

However, since then, he has won four fights in a row, including a rapid knockout job on Francis Ngannou in March in Saudi Arabia.

He will fight Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium on what is promising to be a highly stacked Riyadh Season card.

The pair will battle it out for the IBF heavyweight belt after Usyk confirmed he was vacating the world title.

Usyk beat Tyson Fury on points earlier this year to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion with the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
