Cole Palmer has scored more goals from the penalty spot than 18 Premier League sides after his hat-trick in Chelsea's 4-3 win over Manchester United

The 21-year-old opened up a 2-0 lead for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge from the spot on Thursday after Antony brought down Marc Cucurella

After United came back to move 3-2 in front, Palmer then got Chelsea level deep into injury-time from 12 yards out following Diogo Dalot's foul on Noni Madueke, before completing his hat-trick via a deflected strike.

It means he has now scored 16 Premier League goals this season, with eight of those coming from the penalty spot.

Enzo Fernandez has missed one and scored one penalty while Madueke also has one to his name for the Blues this season.

Chelsea would have 15 fewer points without Palmer's goals from the penalty spot this season

Mauricio Pochettino's men have won 15 points from penalty goals which is the highest in the league, meaning they would be level with 15th-placed Brentford without spot-kicks.

Palmer has scored more penalties than every other Premier League team apart from Arsenal, who also have eight.

Mikel Arteta's side have had four different penalty takers in Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Fabio Vieira, and all of them have converted.

Liverpool have won eight penalties but have converted just five of those, with Salah missing two of those

Meanwhile, league leaders Liverpool have been awarded eight penalties too but have converted just five of those, with Mohamed Salah missing two.

Tottenham and Nottingham have been awarded the least penalties this term with one each, which they have both converted.

Bournemouth and Everton are tied bottom for worst conversion rate - with both missing 1 of their 2 penalties.
