Cheltenham drive-by shooting: Homes and vehicles are 'shot at' close to UK's GCHQ spy centre with a 'heavy police presence' now in place across town

Police have flooded the St Paul's area of Cheltenham tonight after reports of people in a vehicle shooting at houses and parked cars.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: 'We were called to Hudson Street shortly after 7.20pm with a report that the occupants of a vehicle had shot at addresses and parked vehicles.

'No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made at this time.

'There is a large police presence in the area while enquiries take place to establish the identity of those responsible.

'Officers are keen to hear from anyone who lives in the area and may have CCTV or doorbell footage or witnessed suspicious activity.

'Anyone with information on what took place can provide this by completing the following online form and quoting incident 429 of 19 June.'
