The woman who accused Christian Horner of 'inappropriate behaviour' is reportedly being questioned by investigators for a new probe.

The Red Bull employee, who was suspended after Horner was cleared of 'coercive behaviour', is being quizzed as part of a fresh investigation which could last until mid-May.

It has been launched after she appealed the verdict that cleared the Red Bull chief following an internal investigation by the company.

Horner, who is married to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, denies all the allegations and has insisted he will stay in his role.

He could be questioned as part of this new investigation and will co-operate fully, as reported by The Sun

Christian Horner and his wife - Geri Halliwell, a former Spice Girl - have made a defiant show this season and have stuck together through controversy

Horner's accuser is reportedly being quizzed as part of a new KC-led investigation

He was cleared of 'coercive behaviour' after being accused by a female Red Bull employee, but she has since appealed

A source told The Sun: 'The KC [King's Counsel] leading the appeal process had hoped to interview her sooner, but there was an unavoidable delay.

'A lot of work has gone into the appeal already. But her evidence will obviously form a substantial part of the new investigation. It’s important to get it right.

'It is possible Christian may be asked further questions in light of anything new she has to say. He has co-operated fully throughout and will continue to do so.'

The accusations made towards Horner came to light ahead of the 2024 F1 season and have engulfed the Red Bull principal and his team.

It has overshadowed their season to the extent that there has even been some speculation about their three-time World Championship-winning driver, Max Verstappen, leaving.

A day after the internal investigation cleared him, hundreds of messages allegedly from Horner - some sexual - were spilled to the media and F1 powerhouses, but Red Bull affirmed he would not be sacked and his accuser was suspended.

The bombshell email contained 79 documents, including hundreds of messages, many of them of a sexual nature.

The anonymous sender copied in leading people in the sport, such as FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem and F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali, as well as accredited media gathered in Bahrain for the scandal-ridden opening race of the season.

Red Bull have made a flying start to the season despite the allegations towards their principal

Despite the allegations, Red Bull have started the season strongly and Horner remains in post.

Verstappen and his team-mate Sergio perez lead the drivers' standings while Red Bull top the constructors' table five races into the campaign.
