The City College of New York has shutdown its campus due to a security threat and told students and staff not to come to campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, the college closed their Harlem campus at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
'If you have not arrived on campus yet, please do not come to the campus, and please note that all buildings will be closed,' said the school.
They advised the campus will reopen Wednesday, but there will be no classes in session.
'All essential service employees will be contacted by their supervisor regarding their work schedule, ' said The City College of New York.
Due to a threat to the City College campus, and out of an abundance of caution, CCNY will close today, Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 1 PM. If you are on campus, please depart promptly. The City College of New York said, 'At this time, we can not comment as this is an active investigation.'
'However, due to an unverified, but serious threat to campus safety, City College closed early today.'
The State University of New York at Old Westbury posted that their women's basketball game against the Beavers scheduled to be held at the city campus has been postponed.
