Much like the entire 49ers fanbase, George Kittle's wife Claire was left devastated after San Francisco lost the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs in the dying seconds earlier this year.

The Chiefs broke 49ers hearts at Super Bowl LVIII back in February, with Mecole Hardman Jr running through for the game-winning touchdown in the final three seconds of a dramatic overtime period.

While it proved a sensational finish for Kansas City, San Francisco was crestfallen after seeing their hopes of a first championship since 1994 snatched away right at the death.

Netflix's new sports docuseries, Receiver, captures the emotions from both sides after Hardman Jr's deciding touchdown - with Claire Kittle seen fuming at the result in the crowd.

The long-time wife of 49ers receiver George refused to watch the likes of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes celebrate their Super Bowl triumph, with a scene in the docuseries showing her leaving her seat immediately.

'Ok I'm leaving, I'm not watching this,' she says. 'Alright, I gotta go. I'm not watching this s**t. I'm walkin.'

George can also be seen looking on in despair after his team's gut-wrenching blow on the biggest stage in football.

Prior to the game, the docuseries also showed Kittle and rival player Kelce discussing how much they forked out to get their families to Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Kelce, who has been dating pop megastar Taylor Swift for the past year, revealed her suite at the arena cost an eye-watering $3million.

Kittle ultimately decided against dropping that kind of cash on a private box when his team took on Travis and the Chiefs in the NFL showpiece.

'It’s just like, "You guys are gonna be fine,"' he joked, revealing his family sat in the stands.

Kittle first met his wife Claire at the University of Iowa back in 2012, before proposing to her six years later and tying the knot in 2019.

The couple also held a larger ceremony with more friends and family at their Nashville two years later.
