CM Punk returned to Monday Night Raw for the first time since 2014 and ended the show with a promo that lasted approximately six minutes long.
The 45-year-old Punk - real name Phillip Brooks- made a stunning WWE comeback on Saturday night as he closed out the company's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
'Looks like hell froze over,' Punk began as he stood in the center of the ring with the microphone on Monday's latest edition of Raw. 'I didn't know how I was gonna react and I didn't know how it was gonna go but this made me feel like my old self, because this is where I belong.
'In over 10 years, you people never forgot me even when maybe I wanted to forget me. That's powerful. You are all powerful.'
Punk went on to joke that 'almost everybody' in the company was happy to see him return after Seth Rollins had to be 'held back' during his comeback at Survivor Series, and Drew McIntyre stormed out of the arena after both superstars were rumored to be angered by the move.

'The best in the world is back and the best in the world is standing in the middle of the ring,' Punk continued.
'I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to make money.'
Rollins also lightly addressed Punk's return during Monday's episode.
While shooting his own promo earlier in the night he responded to the crowd chanting 'CM Punk' by saying: 'Come on, come on... get it out of your system.
'Get it out of your system because I'll tell you what, I don't want to spend one more second, one more ounce of energy on that hypocrite.'
10 months ago, while Punk was still a member of the AEW roster, Rollins called him a 'cancer' and told him to stay away from WWE.

The real-life dislike between the two mega-stars in combination with Rollins' antics during Punk's return have led large segments of fans to believe that the two are eventually set for what could be a generational feud between two of the best to ever step foot into a wrestling ring.
Punk also teased fans who have held out hope that his wife and former WWE superstar AJ Lee could one day return to the ring after being forced to retire due to injuries.
'AJ is fabulous and she sends her regards,' he said while saluting the hard camera.
