CNN host shuts down Trump press secretary for claiming Jake Tapper is 'biased' against Donald Trump

CNN host Kasie Hunt ended an interview with Donald Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday morning after she repeatedly bashed her colleague Jake Tapper.

With three days to go until the first presidential debate, Hunt asked Leavitt how the Republican was preparing for his showdown with President Joe Biden.

Leavitt accused Biden of ‘hiding away’ while Trump was preparing to ‘go into a hostile environment on this very network with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well known over the past eight years.’

She said Tapper and Dana Bash are ‘biased’, prompting Hunt to jump in and insist they were ‘professional’.

Hunt warned Leavitt she would shut down the interview if she kept targeting Tapper and Bash, then asked if the bar for the debate was set ‘low’ for Trump.

‘Well, first of all, it takes someone five minutes to Google Jake Tapper, Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper…’, Leavitt began.

Hunt cut her off and said she was welcome to return to speak about Donald Trump.

Hunt then tweeted: 'You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.'
