US tennis star Coco Gauff has been unwittingly drawn into an Olympic drug controversy by rapper Snoop Dogg.
The American musician, who is a convicted felon after being found guilty on drugs and gun charges and was once banned from Britain, is in Paris as an onscreen commentator for NBC.
The use of marijuana and other street drugs is illegal in France, but Snoop has stooped to a new low by producing an Olympic pin showing off his use of weed.
He is seen blowing five circles of smoke into the air in the same colors of the Olympic rings with a reefer in his left hand.
His image is depicted in front of the Eiffel Tower, which was the focal symbol of the Olympic Opening Ceremony and has the word ‘Paris.’

In a video posted on Instagram on the United States Tennis Association Instagram page, Snoop whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, is seen wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Coco on it.
Holding the pin for the camera, he says: ‘Hey Coco, its big Snoop Dogg. I have something for you beautiful. This is for you... Go USA.’
The next part of the video show Coco holding the pin and saying: ‘Hey Mr Snoop. Thank you for this pin, this is the best pin.’
Her hand is then shown holding the pin with the written message: ‘I win the pin game.’
There is no suggestion that the tennis star is aware of or promoting the drug philosophy of Snoop.
The videos drew 62,000 likes on the United States Tennis Association Instagram social media page with Coco being praised for her innocence and respect by calling him ‘Mr.’
Houghrice posted: ‘Very respectful. Parents did a wonderful job.’

But val_lilly said: ‘Stop trying to recruit Coco to your nonsense.’
And ultimatevictory007 posted: ‘This guy wears its devil horns for the satanist’ and went onto refer to the controversy of the Opening Ceremony by adding ‘Olympics already mocked Jesus last supper.’
Others weighed in by congratulating Snoop for promoting drugs, but asked why he had not been seen smoking drugs in Paris since the Olympics began.
But American Olympic fan Jason Hodge, 48, from Houston, said: ‘As a Christian I can never promote drug use and this man Snoop is just laughing at the Olympics and at the same time using an innocent young girl like Coco in his prank.
‘I was at the tennis yesterday and Coco is a wonderful young athlete who will not be aware of the drugs message that he is sending out. She will be innocent in all this.’
It is thought that US TV giant NBC has enlisted Snoop 52, as part of its team if he does not use his role to promote drug use while in Paris.

Both NBC and Olympics officials have been contacted for comment.
The World Anti-Doping Agency(WADA) declined to comment on Snoop’s use of the Olympic circles, which represent the five continents.
But cannabis has been banned by WADA since the organization first created its list of prohibited substances in 2004 saying they harm athletes’ health and can be performance enhancing.
