A major police operation is underway in Melbourne's CBD following a reported bomb scare with a street locked down and workers told to stay inside their offices.
The incident is reportedly on Collins Street, near Bendigo Bank, with armed police stationed outside.
The Bomb Squad has been called in and is focusing on a white hatchback.
Trams, traffic and the general public have been diverted away from the area.
