Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew suffered a concussion scare against the Bengals on Sunday, but didn't even get checked on, after the tackle.

With a little over six minutes to go in the second quarter, Minshew took a hit from Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson while rushing to the 22-yard line on a third and six down. His head took a hit from Wilson's shoulder.

Indianapolis' 27-year-old backup signal-caller was being put to ground by Bengals guard, Cordell Vilson, before being abruptly knocked down by Wilson.

What's more is, that after being sandwiched by both Cincinnati players, Minshew wobbled for a fraction of a second while getting back to his free and keeping on playing.

'They didn't check Gardner Minshew for a concussion after this play,' tweeted a user on X. 'Watch him after the tackle.'

Minshew, 27, normally plays as the Colts' backup QB, but has been a revelation since October

The tackle on Minshew happened minutes after it had been widely announced that former Tennessee Titans/Oilers tight end, Frank Wycheck, died at the age of 52. He was known for his lateral pass in the 'Music City Miracle'.

Minshew, who's normally a backup quarterback for the Colts,  has stepped in as a starter, and has played well after Anthony Richardson was lost to a season-ending shoulder injury in October.

The Colts are also coming off an overtime win, 31-28 over Tennessee last week.

'I think the biggest thing is just confidence right now,' Minshew said before Sunday's game.

'Everybody is feeling it, everybody is playing together, trusting each other. I think you saw all the phases coming to life at different times last week. Just starting to feel like we're starting to put our best ball together and that's how it should be this time of year.'

The Colts are 7-5, holding the same overall record as the Houston Texans, their AFC South rivals.

Both teams are vying for a wild card spot, with the Jacksonville Jaguars first of their division with a 8-4 record.
