After being renown for his long hair style for so many years, this will come as a shock to fans.
Following his release from WWE, Riddle was almost immediately hired by other wrestling promoters.
It comes after WWE reportedly had 'significant' plans for Riddle as he had been teaming up with Drew McIntyre as they feuded with the Viking Raiders and the New Day.
Riddle had already been off TV for a considerable stretch when he got the call though report that the WWE had made 'significant plans' for Riddle and McIntyre's tag team, known as McRiddle, and were even creating various merchandising items with the teams name on.
The pro wrestling insider tweeted: 'Prior to his departure from the company, I’m told there were significant plans for a Matt Riddle / Drew McIntyre tag team.
'So much so, various merchandise items were designed with the team name……. “McRiddle.” This is not a joke.'
The tag team's proposed name has gone down so badly with fans that they are 'thankful' he is gone.
