A former porn star who worked in Los Angeles making adult films under the name 'Crocodile Man' is running as a Queensland election candidate.
Craig Moore, 57, is putting himself forward in the Labor-held Brisbane seat of Lytton at the upcoming state election as an independent candidate who is tough on crime.
He has chosen to confront rumours that have been circulating about him. 'The best thing is just confront it straight away,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
That is: yes, he was a porn star. During the 2000s, he starred in 97 adult films under the stage names of Aussie Craig, Aussie Thunder and Crocodile Man.

'At the age of 35, Craig began his porn star career and slowly made a name for himself,' a porn encyclopedia website states.
'He has appeared in 97 adult film titles within his active years in the business.'
Mr Moore's ex-wife Jody Moore was also an adult entertainment star based in Los Angeles, and like him, she previously ran as a Queensland election candidate.
The father-of-two, who is now a palliative care nurse and a practising Buddhist, joked he quit before he got to 100 films, working in the San Fernando area of LA, California.
'I didn't do 100 because I didn't want to be called a s***,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
Mr Moore said that as a former porn star, he understood the pain of those struggling.
'I've run charities, I've done nursing, I think when you're with the people, you understand the pain,' he said.
'A lot of time when you're in these industries, you're coming across people in all kind of situations.'

He also revealed that he and his ex-wife, who have both since remarried, were open about their unconventional career in the United States doing heterosexual porn.
'She was an adult movie star: you have to be very open,' he said. 'You're both in the industry, you're working, earning great money.'
Mr Moore admitted he had to use Viagra to perform for the camera.
'You did on occasion because when you did a feature film, it's man, okay let's go,' he said.
'Sometimes you're outside, sometimes you're in the cold, all performers do.'
He also revealed he wasn't attracted to all the women he was partnered with, even if they were good looking.
'I don't really say it was their looks because I was very blessed - all beautiful women,' he said.
'Sometimes, just attitudes.'
His adult industry resume included titles such as Barely Legal and Busty Beauties.
The other titles hinting at group sex are a bit too graphic for Daily Mail Australia to list.
Mr Moore has written off getting the votes of religious people. 'Am I going to get their vote anyway?' he scoffed.

On his Facebook page, Mr Moore declared his top priority would be fighting crime.
'Hard on Crime. Trade apprenticeships for prisoners in remote areas, building towns for the poor. Unemployed youth training camps to fight natural disasters & learn work skills. I see the poor and needy not colour,' he said.

Craig Moore last month won 12.3 per cent of the vote as an independent candidate at Brisbane City Council elections in the Wynnum Manly ward, which Labor lost to the Liberal National Party.
He said many of his 3,234 voters had previously voted Labor.
'I am receiving hate emails now,' he said.

During the campaign, he published a Facebook post to address rumours about his past as an adult entertainment actor.
'People want to throw mud at me for my past 20 years ago,' he said.
'So what message do we send to anyone who wants to better themselves. Male revue, traveled the world. 80 adult movies, three reality shows. 14 magazines.'
The occasional voter had disapproved.
'One older lady walked past me and said, "Oh no, I know what you're past is about" and she got a little bit funny but I'm like a guy's dream job,' he said.
The Queensland election is being held on October 26, with polls showing Labor Premier Steven Miles headed for defeat.
Mr Moore's preferences could decide a tight race.
