A body has been found during the search for a teenager who went missing off the coast of Queensland, with police believing he was attacked by a crocodile while trying to swim to shore.
Police search and rescue were desperately trying to locate a 16-year-old boy who got lost in stormy seas after his dinghy broke down around 4am on Thursday.
A 13-year-old raised the alarm at Saibai Island, telling authorities his crewmate attempted but failed to make the swim to shore.
The body has not yet been formally identified.
On Friday Queensland Police confirmed the 16-year-old's injuries were consistent with those sustained during an attack by a crocodile.

Queensland Police Torres Strait Acting Inspector Anthony Moynihan said he believes the boys were about 500m north of the island when they abandoned the 5m fibreglass 'banana boat' after the engine broke down.
It has not been confirmed whether the boat has been located or whether there was alternative propulsion aboard.
He confirmed the younger boy had been checked by paramedics and was now at home with his family.
'He's in a bit of shock at the moment,' he told ABC News.
