Another spin in the endless tale of rejection that German Giants, Bayern Munich find themselves in.
Crystal Palace and Oliver Glanser are the latest to turn down advancements from the 32-time Bundesliga champions.
Sky Sports Germany have reported that the Munich residents held talks with Crystal Palace manger Glasner in an attempt to lure the Austrian manager back to the Bundesliga.
Glasner who is very familiar with the Bundesliga could have been the perfect fit for Bayern, as the ex-Eintracht Frankfurt has a strong understanding of the German League and also shares a close relationship with Bayern's Sporting Christoph Freund.
However once again their pursuit of finding a permanent replacement for Thomas Tuchel has proved more difficult than expected as it is reported that Palace have made it clear that Glasner would not receive clearance to join the German club.
Bayern Munich announced in February that at the end of the season current manager Thomas Tuchel would not be continuing on in his role
It has been revealed by Sky Germany that Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner was identified as a possible replacement but Palace have made it clear that Glasner would not receive clearance
Since taking over the Eagles in February, only Arsenal and Manchester City have won more Premier League games and points than Crystal Palace
Glasner has impressed since joining Crystal Palace back in February, their weekend win over Wolves has meant that Glasner has won five of his last six Premier League games in charge.
Which in turn also saw the Eagles leap frog their opponents and move up to 12th in the League table, meaning they are one game away from potentially finishing in the top half of the table.
Since joining Palace in February only Manchester City (nine wins, 29 points) and Arsenal (nine wins, 29points) have won more points in the Premier League compared to Glasner's side (six wins, 21 points).
It has now been three months since it was announced that Thomas Tuchel would depart from the Allianz Arena at the season.
Although many thought the German side would snatch up a new coach in a matter of minutes they have struggled to lure any of the sport's biggest names to the Allianz Arena.
Munich's original target was Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alosno who has enjoyed an unbeaten season with the German side
It is now being reported that Hansi Flick is now the leading candidate to take over from Tuchel
Some other big names alongside Glasner who have rejected Bayern talks have been former Manchester United and current Austrian national team manager Ralf Rangnick, as well as Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso.
The German Giants who failed to win a trophy in a season for the first time since the 2011-12 season have been desperate to find a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.
The German side have now turned their attention to Hansi Flick and have targeted him as their new first choice candidate to take over from Tuchel.
