Danny Dyer was bursting with pride after hearing Jarrod Bowen had made Gareth Southgate's final England squad for Euro 2024

The West Ham forward was included as part of England's final twenty-six, after an impressive season for the Hammers where he scored 20 goals in 44 appearances.

His displays have seen him become a regular member of Southgate's squad, and started the 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday.

However, despite the big announcement of the final squad heading to Germany, Danny Dyer, whose daughter, Dani is dating Bowen, had no idea of his inclusion until he found out during an appearance on talkSPORT

Dyer, who was on the show to promote this Sunday's Soccer Aid, was told the news by host Andy Goldstein and was over the moon to see the forward make the plane.

Danny Dyer was over the moon to hear the news of Jarrod Bowen's inclusion in Euros squad

Bowen has been picked in the final twenty-six heading to Germany for the Euros next week

The West Ham forward is dating the daughter of Danny Dyer, and the pair have twins together

Dyer punched the air and shouted 'Yes', at hearing the final squad, before revealing he had no idea about his place.

He said: 'I swear to God I had no idea! So he's going, he's on the plane - as he should be! Listen, I'm over the moon mate. This kid, he deserves it. He's worked hard. I thought he had a lovely 90 minutes [against Bosnia].

'I've been listening to your lovely show of course, the governors, having a debate over playing time and what does that mean? If they play a lot that means they might not go and you two were in debate about maybe if they don't play they're certain to go.

'Or, they're a certainty to go as [Southgate] knows what he'll get from them. I just think - he should have nicked a goal at the end, obviously, [Ezri] Konsa got in the way! They're good pals them two.

'But I'm over the moon! That's great for my Dani as well, and Jarrod, because they didn't quite know what they were doing this summer you know having a holiday or not. That also means I'm going to the Euros!'

Bowen has been in a relationship with Dani Dyer since 2021 and the pair have twin girls, Star and Summer, who were born in May last year.

His twenty goals and 10 assists for West Ham this season have had some believing Bowen could be on the move this summer, especially with the London club without European football next season.

Yet, Dyer, isn't sure a move away from the London Stadium would benefit the 27-year-old because he wants to play as much football as he can.

Adding: 'Look, it's his career, he's an amazing player.'  suppose - what's a big club now?

'Not Man United, is it? You don't go there. Although he did support them as a kid!

Dyer will be in action this Sunday as part of the England team competing at Soccer Aid

Dyer has gotten to know Bowen since he started dating his daughter, Dani,  in 2021

'Ultimately the man wants to play football and he wants to be the first man in the team.

'He doesn't want to sit on the bench. Some players go to big clubs like Kalvin Phillips and all that, who has got loads of awards and trophies, how much did he commit to it or was he part of it?.'

Bowen will face stiff competition for a place during the summer, with Cole Palmer, Anthony Gordon and Ebere Eze also all included in the final squad.

Meanwhile, Dyer will strut his stuff alongside a plethora of celebrities and former footballers as England take on a Rest of the World side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday for Soccer Aid.
