'Darwin has him rattled!': Liverpool fans mock American YouTube streamer as he responds to be being brutally BLANKED by Nunez in the street

Liverpool fans have poked fun at American Jack Doherty following his response to being snubbed by Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.

Despite a productive second season on Merseyside, the Uruguayan's future at Liverpool has come into question in recent weeks.

Nunez was spotted not clapping during Jurgen Klopp's guard of honour in the club's final league game, and reports suggest new boss Arne Slot is intent on bringing in a new striker in his first summer in charge.

However, despite questions surrounding where he will play his club football Nunez has been been at his clinical best in front of goal at international level of late.

The 24-year-old netted a hat-trick in Uruguay's Copa America warm-up clash against Mexico, with the tournament set to get underway in the USA later this month.

Last week footage emerged of the striker bumping into controversial streamer Doherty in the street.

The former Benfica star was taking photos with fans while Doherty was 'IRL streaming', a form of online content where creators broadcast their day-to-day lives to an audience online. 

Despite not appearing to know who Nunez is, upon noticing fans clamouring to take a photo with him Doherty attempts to do the same but is snubbed by the Uruguayan as he continues to walk down the street.

In response to the incident, Doherty shared a video on social media responding to a comment from a fan claiming Nunez makes more money than him.

'So this is about the whole Darwin Nunez situation.' Doherty said.

 'I actually disagree with this comment. Alright so if you look up Darwin Nunez's net worth on Google it says $3million.

'Then if you look up my net worth on Google it says $60m. But yeah he humbled me pretty hard, I think my life is over man I don't know what to do anymore.'

At the end of his sarcastic response, Doherty panned the camera round to show off a luxurious waterside balcony view.

However, despite his attempts to fire back, Liverpool fans insisted Doherty had been 'rattled' by the response.

One fan wrote: 'I can't believe Darwin Nunez has rattled @dohertyjackk'

Another added: 'Bro hurt Darwin didn’t even acknowledge him prob didn’t see him.'

A further fan agreed: 'The fact that you're still thinking about him makes him greater than you. Merseyside forever YWNWA' 

A fourth fan joked: 'The fact he uses google top searches for this, is why i am worried for this generation. basing someone's net worth with that is wild'

Aged just 20, Doherty had amassed more than 14 million subscribers on YouTube by sharing vlogs about his life, often featuring other viral celebrities with recent appearances from rapper Lil Pump and the Island Boys.

In a video from April, Doherty claimed to have bought a house in Los Angeles, California for $10m.
