Denmark defender Joachim Andersen suffered a double VAR nightmare during his side's Euro 2024 last-16 clash with Germany.

Andersen thought he had put Denmark in front but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Shortly afterwards, there was further agony for Andersen as he conceded a penalty for an alleged handball.

Kai Havertz stepped up to take the penalty and managed to find the net.

One user wrote on X that it was a 'heartbreaking couple of minutes for Joachim Andersen.'
