And that's all she wrote.

Ref stops it in the sixth. Conwell was just too much. Needs to find better opponents now.

Conwell gets Gallimore up against the ropes

Undefeated super welterweight is dominating in the fifth here. Several big lefts in succession. Gallimore is bleeding from his nose, mouth and a bit from bis brow.

Many will remember the undefeated Conwell from the Patrick Day tragedy

It was October 12, 2019 when Conwell knocked out Day, who would ultimately pass away from a traumatic brain injury on October 16.

Conwell penned an emotional letter afterwards, writing:

“I am so mixed with emotion because I feel responsible, I feel like I let him down. That pain I will live with the rest of my life, but my faith remains strong because God is in this room with us, because Patrick would want that. Because he has that. One of a kind.”

About those ticket sales...

... The upper bowl at Barclays Center is open tonight, so they have about 16,000 seats to fill. Obviously it's still early, but they have a ways to go here. Lower bowl is mostly empty, while the upper seats (often the "real" fans) are larger in number.

A look at the fight card:

PPV Broadcast is set to start with Charles Conwell (18-0) against Nathaniel Gallimore (22-7-1) at super welterweight

Seated on media row at Barclays Center. The Great Jim Lampley is in the building, as is Gerry Cooney, Mail Sport's Daniel Matthew and myself.

Garcia cleared to fight

The good news is that Ryan Garcia has reportedly passed a mental health evaluation.

Garcia was accused of drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana, causing the New York commission to travel to his training camp to test him for mental health reasons.

However, he passed the evaluation, and is clear to fight Haney - even if the contest will not be a title fight because Garcia came in overweight.

Garcia's chaotic preparation

It's certainly been a troubling build up to the fight for Garcia.
